My Proposal for the cover of my plate will be based in La Guerra de la Triple Alianza, I want to represent this war will dogs because it seems nicer to understand for kids. I need a technique that give me the chance of having different tones of black and white. I'm going to represent the different people involved in the war with different colors because they are from latinamerican countries and they have very similar factions, thats why im using the same race of dogs (Labrador Retriever) but with the four colors this race has.

Proposal #1

I imagine 4 different labrador retriever in a field trying to run into the others field with the helps of some of the other dogs to get a toy for them. Id like yo do it with disorganized and careless drawing making it look good and simple. And id like to make every dog with a realistic color to represent each country involved in the conflict i chose. Each dog represents a lot of dogs, meaning an army. Im using Drypoint to make y plate.

Proposal #2

I imagine the same four dogs fighting for the toy but instead of having four different territories they have two, meaning three dogs in one representing the unification of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay and in the other territory having one dog representing Paraguay. I will make the same careless and disorganized colors, with no messages written, it will contain only some dates like for example the day the war was started and when it finished. I am going to use scratching technique to make my plate

Proposal #3

I imagine the plate divided in two representing the starting point of the war in which Brazil was fighting against Paraguay, Uruguay when Argentina wasn't involved and in the other part, the ending of the war which was Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina united against Paraguay. The four countries will be represented by four different Labrador Retrievers drawn in careless and disorganized by goof looking drawings. This time the Labradores will be fighting for the toy that represents the territory the war was started for. Im going to use etching, aquatint and burnishing & scraping to make my plate. I'm going to use this technique because it is the best for making different tones of black and grays and i need it to make the difference between the countries represented by the dogs in my sketch.
